How to know what OS you have?

Computer Repair Tutor

This works for all Windows OS short for Operating System like Windows 95. 98, XP, Vista, 7, Linux, Mac OS2 etc. They are the first software to load before you can use a computer. The more latest the OS the more feature it has but requires more latest hardware also.

First go to your desktop screen. It is the first screen will appear after all files already loaded and when you can start to click.

On lower left there is a start button, on Vista and Win7 it is just an icon or Windows Logo button, it is still called start button. Once clicked go to Computer or My Computer then right click on it and select properties. Now a dialogue box will appear showing what Windows version you have. Including basic computer hardware specification you have like RAM and Processor.
